County Football Blitz:   Our U7s & U8s participated in a blitz at Dr. Morris Park last Saturday. We played Moycarkey-Borris, Cashel, Cahir and JK Brackens.  Well done to all our players who played magnificently in some very competitive matches. Thanks to all the parents who took their children, it was really appreciated.

Under 10s:  Last Thursday our U10s travelled to Cappawhite to play the hosts in a Hurling game. Despite heavy showers, Newport put in a great performance with blocking, hooking, catching, striking and great scores to be seen, including a point from a side-line cut. Everyone played very well, and we are looking forward to many more good performances over the summer. Thank you to Cappawhite for the great game, and to all the parents for coming and supporting the lads.

Team: Ronan Fitzpatrick, Dara McGrath, Conor Sweeney, Harry Lee, Cillian Collins, Brian McCabe, Ryan Shinnors, Eamon Walsh, Liam Coffey, Conor Nolan, Zack Mooney, and Sam Caplis

Visit from Bishoptown: Well done to everyone who participated & hurled in top matches played by the under 9s, 10s,11s,12s and 13s last Sunday morning in Lacken Park. We hosted Bishopstown of Cork on their way to the Tipp vs Cork match in Thurles and played some great hurling. Thanks to everyone for their support and assistance for making it a very enjoyable event. We then took our juveniles to Semple Stadium by bus for the big game and despite the result enjoyed the exciting game.

Senior Hurling: Best of luck to our senior hurlers and their mentors as they play Roscrea in the second round of the County Senior Championship on Saturday 27th in Toomevara at 7.30pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
