Juvenile Notes
  • Our Under 6’s had their final Blitz of the year last Saturday morning which they thoroughly enjoyed against our neighbours Ballinahinch.
  • Our under 7’s & 8’s entered two teams in the County Hurling Blitz in Dr Morris Park last Saturday and put in great performances v teams from Clonmel, Ballina, Silvermines, Boherlahan, Sean Treacys & Portroe.

Juniors
  • Our Junior Hurlers were crowned North champions on Saturday last with a one point win over Portroe. This was a tough encounter but Newport with a good blend of youth and experience just held out in the end. Tom Moylan and Mike Coffey(Red) rolled back the years with some great hurling, while up front Aidan Moloney and Kieran Doheny were always a threat.
  • The Junior Footballers have qualified for the North final against Ballina following a comfortable win against Lorrha on Wednesday last in Ballinagarry. But first they must play Gortnahoe on Sunday at 2pm in Borrisoleigh in a quarter final fixture.

Intermediate Hurling
Newport will play their long-awaited County Quarter Final on Sat 3rd at 3pm in Drombane, when Golden-Kilfeakle will provide the opposition.

Lotto
There was no winner of the club lotto last Monday, so this week's jackpot is €6200.
