It was a fantastic week for the Juvenile Club with two North Football titles being won by the club:

Under 16: First up on last Tuesday evening in Nenagh our U16’s played a very

strong Moneygall/Clonakenny. We eventually won by two points after a titanic battle which sparked scenes of jubilation for this bunch of players after capturing their first ever North title.
Minor: On Wednesday evening in Dolla our Minors had to battle right to the end of their game v Kildangan, scoring 1-2 in the final five minutes to win by two points and bring the North Minor ‘A’ title back to Newport.

Well done to the management and players involved with both teams who can now

take a well earned break for the exams. We would like to wish all our players the

very best of luck in their exams over the next few weeks.

Under 14:
Our footballers had a great
win over Kildangan in Lacken Park last Wednesday and have now qualified directly for a North semi-final. They have a break this week while they await the winners of the quarter finals due to be played
this week.

Under 12:
Our footballers bowed out of the championship following their semi
final defeat to a very strong Burgess team last Friday and will now focus on the hurling championship which will be starting in the next few weeks.

Under 10:
Our U10’s had a mixed week. They bowed out of the Community Games

Hurling on Tuesday evening following their defeat by Toomevara. This was

followed up with a fantastic display in Community Games Football competition

where they recorded a great win over Ballina. They have now qualified for the

North Final v Templemore with a date for the fixture yet to be confirmed
