All Ireland Final
The Newport club wishes Conor O'Mahony and all his Tipp team mates the very best of luck in next Sunday's All Ireland.  Tickets are very limited so paid up members will get first preference.

Our minor hurlers play Borrisoleigh this Wed evening in Dolla in the semi final of the hurling championship. Throw in at 6pm. Best of luck to all involved.

Under 6.
Newport U6's hosted a North Tipperary Divisional Blitz in Lacken Park last Wednesday evening.  Ballina and Ballinahinch also took part and provided a great evening of entertainment in some tricky weather conditions.  Newport had 38 players on show which was a brilliant turnout and hopefully bodes well for the future of the club. Given the overall number of 80 players, five pitches were in full swing for the duration of the blitz where both hurling and football games were played.  Well done to all and thanks to coaches, parents and most of all the players from each of the clubs involved.

Draw held on 26/8/14 , Jackpot €8,750 No's Drawn 10, 13 , 18, 22 . No winner.
5 Lucky Dips : James Lee, Lees Bar; Paddy Jones, Oakhampton; Anne Reid, Birdhill; Pat Shinnors, Cragg; Chris O Brien, Clonbealy.

Junior Hurlers.
Our hurlers recorded a one point win over Nenagh in Newport on Friday evening last which sees them make the semi-final of the competition. Things did not look good at half time as we were trailing by 8 points but Daniel Carew showed maturity well beyond his years with a fantastic display of free taking to help steer the side home.

Under 16.
Well done to our under 16 hurlers who took part in the intercounty competition on Sat last. The 'B' team won their All Ireland, helped in no small part by Cian Flanagan and Corrie Mooney while the 'A' team won the shield competition with Newport's Jack Delahunty and Keelan Floyd on board.

All Ireland Fundraiser.
The club is currently selling €10 tickets with a prize of a place on the Tipp team holiday. All funds raised go towards the cost of All Ireland preparations. Contact any club officer to support.

Duck Race.
The juvenille club will host a Duck Race in Newport on this Friday with some great prizes including 2 All Ireland tickets. Ducks cost €5, so please support.
