Under 16's
The under 16's have kicked off the year with wins over Kildangan and Nenagh in Football. Their third game is away to Inane Rovers and their final group game is at home to Kilruane McDonaghs.

Our junior hurlers continued to impress with a great win on the road away to Emly. The score was Newport 3-8 to Emly 12pts.
The heroes for Newport were in goal Kevin O' Brien, Darragh Ryan was a rock at full back, ably assisted by Richard Shinnors at number 6, while up front Conor Keating and David Hickey were the ones to catch the eye.
Scorers:  D Hickey 2goals, Nigel Jones 5pts, Michael Ryan 3pts and Joe Powell 1 goal.

Minor Football.
Our footballers received a walkover from Nenagh last week in the first round of the 'A' championship. No match this week. Training continues on Wed and Friday at 7pm in Newport.

County Minor
The club would like to wish Conor Floyd, Rob Houlihan and Pa Ryan the best of luck in the minor hurling championship against Limerick on Thursday in the Gaelic Grounds. It's been a while since we had 3 players on the panel.

Well done to the girls U14 camoige team who snatched a great draw away to Drom-Inch on Tuesday week last. They play Ballina this Tuesday in Newport, so best of luck to them.

Our club lotto is now €7,200 so please support our sellers as they make their way through the pubs and shops during the week.
