Match Tickets
As you are all aware by now, the club got no stand tickets for last Sunday's quarter final against Dublin. This was due to an error in allocation on behalf of Croke Park. The club would like all club members to order their tickets from the club treasurer Martin Kennedy for the semi finals because if Tipp progress to an All Ireland final, then tickets will only be obtained through the clubs. So we need to keep up our allocation of tickets.

Minor Hurlers
Our minors recorded a great 11 point victory over Nenagh on a stormy Thursday last. The game was played in Templederry who still have no nets behind their goals to stop sliothars getting lost. This was a fantastic team effort from 1 to 15. The lads showed great heart and determination and now have 3 wins from 3 games. Our next game is fixed for this Thursday in Nenagh against Kilruane at 7pm.

Under 16's
Our U16 hurlers lost narrowly to Kilruane on Monday last by 2 points. This game was played in Newport and a win was needed. The pressure is now on to win the rest of their games. See paper for details.

Under 8 & 10
Newport under 8's had 30 children taking part in a hurling blitz v Smith O Briens Killaloe & Ballinahinch last Tuesday evening in the Longhouse Field. It was a great success. Thanks to all the parents who brought their children along.
Newport U10's played Murroe in Lacken Park on Tuesday 22/7/14.  2 matches were played which ended all square with one win each. Thanks to Murroe for playing their part in 2 great games

Inter Hurling
Our Intermediates will play Shannon Rovers in Nenagh on Saturday next at 6.30pm. This is a must win game, so please come out and support the team.
