Under 21 Football
Our footballers started their campaign with a good win over a very big physical Burgess side last Sat in Newport. Trailing 4points to 2 at half time, we finished on a score of 4-7 to 7 points. It's fair to say that Newport used the wind to good effect. This was a good workmanlike display by all. Next game is fixed for Saturday next at 4pm in Newport against Portroe who lost their first game to Borrisokane.

Presentation Night.
This was held last Sat night in Ballinahinch Hall with a decent turn out. Thanks to Shane McGrath who presented the medals. The club would like to thank Ballinahinch for the use of the hall and for Theresa in the Corner House for the food.

Munster Semi-Final
St Marys hurling team lost their semi final to Roscrea on Friday last by 4 points. This was played in the  astro pitch at UL and the score does not do the newport team justice. Well done to all involved in reaching the semi.

National Draw
Final reminder to hand back all tickets for the national GAA draw to any committee member this week as drawe will take place on Paddy's weekend.

Exams
The club would like to wish all its members who are sitting exams this week the best of luck.

Scór
Newport was well represented at the North Final of Scór na bPáistí in Templederry on Saturday night, with representatives in 7 categories. Well done to the Ballad Group who won North honours.
