Under 16's
Our U16 hurlers made their exit from this year's Championship when they were beaten 1-13 to 2-9 away to Roscrea  last Thursday night. This brought to an end a very disappointing hurling campaign for this group of players, as they never reached the heights achieved at U14 level two years ago.

Minor Hurling.
Our hurlers produced another great performance on Sat last to see off Toomevara in the last group match in the 'A' championship. This was a great team performance but the tackling, blocking and determination of the 6 backs set the tone for this victory. Next outing should be a semi-final appearance.  So far we have played 5 matches and won 5 matches.
To our panel members who received their Leaving results, well done.  The points that the lads achieved were outstanding.

Cúl Camp.
The club hosted its Cúl Camp last week with over 180 taking part. It was a resounding success, due in no small way to our co ordinator Ciara Browne. To all who helped in any way in making this camp one of the biggest and best in the county, well done.  On Friday we had Tipp FM broadcasting live from Lacken Park and also guest appearances from Tipp hurlers Conor O'Mahony, Shane McGrath and Denis Maher - their patience was appreciated with all the photos and signing. Well done to the winners of the skills competitions who will now go forward to the county finals.

Junior Hurlers.
We had a good win last week over Silvermines in the championship and I believe the defending of young Conor Hickey was outstanding. Well done lads.

Please support our inter hurlers who play Rockwell Rovers this Wed evening in Cappawhite at 7pm.  A victory here will put us back into the county championship.

All Ireland Final.
Well done to Tipperary on reaching another final on Sept 7th. As usual, there will be a scramble for tickets, so please get your orders in early to avoid disappointment. Priority wil be given to paid up club members.
