All Ireland Medal
Well done to Intermediate Hurler Sean O Brien, who brought home another All Ireland Medal to Newport last weekend following his solid display at corner back for the Tipperary Intermediate team in the All Ireland final versus Kilkenny. Tipp won 2-14 to 2-11. Congrats Sean on adding to your collection which already includes All Ireland Minor and Under 21 medals.

 County representation
Following on Sean O Brien's success, we had several other players from Newport on Tipperary teams over the week end:
At U17 level Conor Floyd, Pa Ryan & Rob Houlihan continue to impress;
Daniel Carew represented the club on the County U16B team in the Munster intercounty tournament on Sunday.
Kealan Floyd and Jack Delahunty were part of the victorious U15A team that won the prestigious Carrighdoun trophy and Jack had the added distinction of captaining Tipperary and recieving the winning trophy.
Cian Flanagan was part of the U15B team that participated in the intercounty tournament in Clarecastle which was coached by Cormac McGrath.
So, all in all great club representation at County level

 Under 16
Our U16 hurlers will play their quarter final on Friday next at home to Ballina at 6:30. This is now the business end of the U16A championship and winner takes all.

 Duck Race
The juvenile committee's annual duck race is now well enshrined in the club calendar and this year's race will take place on Friday evening at 7pm on the Ivy Bridge. Ducks cost €5 each and there are fabulous prizes including All Ireland Tickets and signed jerseys.

 Minor Football
With their interest in the hurling championship now ended, our minors await the Co Football semi-final fixture against Southern opposition.  Details very soon.
Under 6
The Longhouse field was full to capacity last week when Ahane repaid a visit following our trip. Well done to all the players mentors and supporters from both clubs who made the evening a great success.

 Dog Night
Watch out for the club's fundraiser "A night at the dog's" which will take place on Friday Nov 1st at Limerick Dog Track. More details next week.
