Lotto
Last week's numbers were 13,21,22 & 25 with no winner. Lucky dips go to Emma Shanahan, Damien Ryan, Michael Doyle, John Ryan Cully & Roisin Delaney. Next week 's jackpot will be €5200.

Scór
Our Senior Ballad group put on a tremenduous performance in Derry last weekend in the All Ireland Scór final but unfortunately were narrowly beaten in a highly competitive section. Well done to Teresa Galvin, Fiona Ryan, Geraldine, Marie & Ruairi Floyd. It was a huge honour for Newport's singers to represent club, county and province in the final. Congratulations also to JK Brackens and Newcastle on bringing home the gold in the recitation, set dancing and solo singing disciplines.

Under 8
Newport U8 hurlers had a most enjoyable day in Thurles last Saturday when they participated in the County blitz day. Newport entered 3 teams and all did very well and had a number of wins. Altogether over 30 teams participated and it's great to see Newport so well represented.

Under 14
Newport Gaels U14 footballers played out a thriller in The Longhouse last Wednesday when they beat Shannon Rovers by a single point. The now play Borrisoleigh away, knowing that a win there will guarantee a semi final spot.

Under 16
Our U16's met a rejuvenated Borrisokane side last week and came out the wrong end of a 3-6 to 0-3 defeat. Fortunately they had already qualified for the Nth Semi where they defeated Inane Rovers and  now await a North final fixture against Kilruane. Team pic below

Minor Football
The Newport / Ballinahinch combo beat Ballina by 3 points last week and now await the result of the Inane V Ballina game to see who progresses. If the result goes the right way we will make the Nth Final.

Under 21
Our U21 footballers will meet Upperchurch in the County Final on Saturday next in Kilcommon, throw in at 6pm. Best of luck to the team which includes Newport & Ballinahinch players.

Scores came from Conor Floyd 0-2, Odhran Floyd 1-4, Eoin Shinners 0-7 (0-5 frees ), Conor O Mahoney 0-3 and AidanMoloney 0-2. Next up they play Cahir.
