Junior Hurling
The season wound down on Sat last for our Junior B hurlers who lost to Templederry in the Nth Semi on a scoreline of 2-15 to 1-10. Well done to all concerned as a combination of young and more experienced players made quite a season for all.

 Minor Football
Our minor footballers eventually played their Co Semi also on Sat last  and unfortunately lost out to a more experienced Clonmel Commercials outfit. Clonmel were in the driving seat before the game even began as they had just come fresh out of the South Championship whereas Newport Gaels had not played a game in over 5 months as they won the North Final on May 16th. No excuses on the day though, as final score was 3-13 to 1-8 against Newport.

 A Night at the Dogs
Plans are at an advanced stage for the imminent fundraiser in the form of a Night At The Dogs. All are welcome and asked to support this venture which takes place in the Limerick Greyhound Stadium on Friday Nov 1st.

 Under 21 Hurling
Our U21 hurlers will provide the last remaining club activity over the coming weeks as the Nth U21 championship fixtures will be released this week.

 Schools
Well done to St Mary's Secondary School who had a good win over Borrisileigh on Wed's last in the Munster B Championship. Also, the Newport Boys NS will host a football blitz on Oct 24th
