Congratulations
Newport G.A.A. would like to congratulate Shane Ryan who came on as a sub for the Tipp Senior Football team in their McGrath Cup semi-final win over UCC last Sunday and got on the scoresheet during his few minutes on the field. Congratulations also and best of luck to Bobby Carroll who is having trials with the county Under 21 Tipp Footballers.

G.A.A. History
26 years have passed since the publication of 'By The Mulcaire Banks' a History of the G.A.A. in the parish of Newport.  A lot has happened in the intervening years and the club is now looking at the possibility of updating the history to ensure a comprehensive record of the club's activities is preserved for future generations. We would be very grateful if anyone who has photos of teams, written records, cuttings or anything that might be helpful, would please contact Denis Floyd.

Scór
Senior: Anyone who wishes to take part in Senior Scór please contact Breda Floyd (0868637112) for more details. The county semi-final, involving North and Mid will be held on February 25th so it is important to get in touch with Breda a.s.a.p.
Scór na nÓg: Best wishes to our representatives in Instrumental Music in the Munster Final in Cappoquin on Sunday.
Scór na bPáistí:  Well done to all those who represented Newport in the semi-final in Templederry on Friday last. Newport were successful in Figure Dancing, Recitation, Instrumental Music, Question Time and Set Dancing. Unfortunately our Solo Singer and Ballad Group did not qualify despite putting excellent performances. The North Final will be held in Newport on 3rd February.
