Congratulations to our U14's, Newport Gaels, on winning the North Tipp U14 ‘A’ Hurling Championship for the first time in the clubs history. They defeated Kilruane McDonaghs on a scoreline of 2-7 to 2-4 in Nenagh last Saturday.
   Having already won the North ‘A’ Football championship earlier in the year they have now completed the double. Team members were Sean Belfry Walshe, Cathal Floyd, Jack Delahunty, Sean Moloney, Harry Sheehy, Kealan Floyd (0-2), Cory Mooney, Cian Flanagan (0-2), Kevin Connolly (Capt), Dade Richtar, Dara Carroll (0-1), Jack Connolly, Aaron O'Neill, Colin Floyd (2-1), Paul Hogan (0-1), Michael Gorman, Niall Harrington, Greg O'Gorman, Jonathon Coyle, Mattias Allen, Brian Keane and Thomas Floyd. Team Mentors were Anthony Floyd, Joe Floyd and James Flanagan. Well done to all concerned. Attention now turns to the county semi-final where they await the winners of the South.
