Return to training: There was great excitement this week as the club made the much-anticipated return to training after an absence of three months, under what has become known as the ‘new normal’.  We would like to thank all the managers, coaches, players and parents of Juveniles for all their efforts over the last three months and for their commitment to our online training sessions. We are looking forward to seeing many happy faces returning safely to Lacken Park over the coming weeks.
The club also sincerely thanks both our Development Officer James Flanagan and Thomas Earle of Earle Landscaping for the fantastic work they completed over the last few weeks to have our pitches in magnificent condition.

Championship dates: The Seamus O’Riain Hurling competition group matches are due to be played on the weekends of July 25/26, August 8/9 and August 15/16. The Juvenile Hurling competitions are due to commence on the following dates: Under 12 on July 21st, Under 14 on July 23rd and Under 16 on July 20th.

Club Lotto: The weekly club lotto draw recommenced Monday evening of this week. Please check our Facebook page for results. Tickets can be purchased in Sweeney’s Shop on Friday evening from 3:30PM to 7:00PM or Saturday morning from   9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. The club will be launching our Lotto on-line shortly. We will have more details next week.

The Road To Croker Fundraiser in aid of Newport Day Care Centre (organised by the senior hurlers) reached its target of € 5,000 on GoFundMe last weekend!  After GoFundMe fees were deducted, they raised a total of € 5,103.97 to be donated to Newport Day Centre.  We would like to sincerely thank everyone who has contributed so generously to this cause over the last month and everybody that ran/walked, shared posts or supported this fundraiser in any way.  It was really appreciated. The GoFundMe page is now closed and we look forward to presenting a cheque to The Day Care Centre shortly.
