Iomáint Sinsir:  Congratulations to our Senior Hurlers on their great win in the first round of The Seamus O'Riain Cup v Clonakenny in Templederry last Saturday evening on a scoreline of 3-21 to 1-13. We would like to thank Clonakenny Club for providing a live stream of the match which was really appreciated by all the fans who could not go to the game. The Seniors next match in this competition V Mullinahone is scheduled to be played on August 8th.

Iomáint Shóisireach : We would like to wish our Junior Hurlers the very best of luck in their first game in the North Junior B Championship v Shannon Rovers this Friday evening July 31st in Lacken Park @ 7:00PM.

Mionúir: Our minor hurlers put in a great performance in a cracking game  v Burgess in their second group match in the championship last Wednesday evening in Lacken Park. They were unlucky to lose out in the end on a scoreline of Newport 3-12 to Burgess 1-20.  They travel to Borrisoleigh this Wednesday evening for their final group match v Borrisoleigh @ 7:00 PM.

Faoi 16: Our Under 16 hurlers got their championship off to a great start with an away win V Lorrha on a scoreline of 4-11 to 1-08. They played their second group match v Borrisokane on Monday evening of this week and recorded an impressive 6-12 to 0-12 win.  Scoring honours went to Bryan Nolan who notched 4-2, with Lee Ryan, John Lee and Diarmuid O'Riordan also outstanding.  They have a home game v Burgess next Monday August 3rd @ 7:30PM.

 Faoi 14: Both of our Under 14 teams played their first-round matches in the championship last Thursday evening. Our Under 14 Group B team recorded a good win over Kiladangan on a scoreline of 6-09 to 2-05. Our Group D team lost out to a very good Fr. Sheehy’s team in their game. The Group D team have a home game v Carrick Davins this Thursday evening @ 7:00PM while our Group B are away to Shannon Rovers @ 7:30PM.

 Faoi 12: Our Under 12 Group A & D teams travelled to Ballina to play their first matches in the championship on Tuesday evening. The Group A team lost a very close & exciting match on a scoreline of 4-08 to 4-05. The Group D team lost to a very good Ballina team by 9-02 to 4-04.
Our Group A & D teams play Nenagh Eire-Óg and our Group C team played Templederry on Tuesday evening this week.

Comhbhrón:  It is with saddened hearts that we learned of the passing of the late Eileen Harte (RIP). Mother of Sinéad, Bríd, Gráinne and Aoibheann. Eileen was a great supporter of Newport GAA down through the years. On behalf of everyone in C.L.G. Tulach Sheasta we extend our deepest sympathy to the Harte Family.
The club would also like to extend sympathies to the Ryan family on the passing of Evelyn Ryan (RIP)
