AGM: The club will be holding their AGM on Wednesday
December 4th @ 8:00 PM in the clubhouse. We would encourage as many
people as possible to attend this meeting & have your say in the future of our
club. Mass for deceased members of the club will be held on Saturday Nov. 30th @ 6:30PM in the Church of The Most Holy Redeemer in Newport. North Tipp Football: Well done to Diarmuid O Riordan, Stephen McCormack and Lee Ryan who played for North Tipp in the Tom Collum Under 15 inter divisional football tournament in Thurles last Saturday and to Mark Forde, Brian Tobin and James Tobin who played for North Tipp in the Mick Frawley Under 14 inter divisional football tournament in Nenagh last Saturday. We would like to wish all players the best of luck in the inter divisional finals next weekend. By The Mulcaire Banks: The story of the history of The GAA in the parish is available for sale in Sweeney’s Service Station, Ponaire, Gully’s Daybreak & Hackett’s Pharmacy. The 672 x A4 pages retails at €40. This fantastic publication would be a great Christmas present & will be of enormous interest to anybody who has followed GAA activities in the parish of Newport, as it tells the story of the association from the very beginning right up to date, records the facts, figures and statistics of all the games, recalls some of the memories of players and mentors and includes photos of adult and juvenile teams right up to 2018. Scor: The County Scór na nOg final is scheduled for the 1st of December in Holycross. If any secondary school children are interested in taking part please contact Anthony Floyd on 086 8070182 for further details. Condolences: The club would like to extend our deepest sympathies to Liam
& Niall Duffy and the extended Duffy family on the passing of their brother
Sean (RIP). |
