Inter-Divisional Football : Well done to all our players who were part of the North Tipp Under 14 & 15 teams that took part on the Inter Divisional Finals this weekend.
Mark Forde, Brian & James Tobin were on The Under 14’s panel that won the Shield Final v Mid Tipp by 2-08 to 2-07. Stephen McCormack, Diarmuid O’Riordan & Lee Ryan were on The Under 15 panel that were unlucky to loose their Shield Final to West Tipp by a point.

By The Mulcaire Banks: The story of the history of The GAA in the parish is available for sale in Sweeney’s Service Station, Ponaire, Gully’s Daybreak and Hackett’s Pharmacy. The 672 x A4 pages retails at €40. This fantastic publication would be a great Christmas present and will be of enormous interest to anybody who has followed GAA activities in the parish of Newport, as it tells the story of the association from the very beginning right up to date, records the facts, figures and statistics of all the games, recalls some of the memories of players and mentors and includes photos of adult and juvenile teams right up to 2018.

Scór: Well done to our participants in The County Scór na nÓg finals held in Holycross last Sunday. The club was represented in Instrumental Music by  Eve Berry, Martin McCabe, Stephen McCormack, Kevin & Damien O’Brien. The Novelty Act cast included Clara & Aiobhinn Collins,  Martin, Brian & Tom McCabe and Damien O’Brien. The Quiz Team of Dara Kennedy, Stephen McCormack, Kevin & Damien O’Brien finished second in their competition.

Primary Schools County GAA Quiz : Well done to the Boys National School team of Harry Lee, Dara McGrath, Jack Powell & Cathal Ryan who took part in the county final of the GAA National Schools competition last Sunday evening in Thurles.

Condolences: The club would like to extend deepest sympathies to the Murray family, formerly of Cooleen, Birdhill and Cork Road, Newport, on the recent passing of John Murray (RIP) in Australia. John was a prominent player with Newport under-age teams in the 1960's. Ar dheis Lámh Dé go raibh a anam.
