Seniors:  Well done to our senior hurlers who won their final group match in the county hurling league v Golden / Kilfeacle last Friday evening on a scoreline of 5-15 to 1-15. Unfortunately, this ends our involvement in the competition as we did not reach the knockout stages.

Juniors: Our Junior hurlers had a good win over Toomevara last Tuesday evening in the second round of the North Junior B Hurling Championship on a scoreline of 6-23 to 1-09. They are away to Lorrha in the third round this Saturday evening June 29th @ 7:00 PM.

Under 14’s: Our Under 14 Group C hurlers lost to Borris-lleigh in their first game of the North Hurling Championship v last Saturday.

Under 12’s: Our Under 12 Group teams had a very busy week. On Tuesday evening the under 12 Group B team had a good victory over Silvermines  on a scoreline of 3-08 to 0-07.  On Friday the under 12 Group C team played Nenagh and emerged victorious on a scoreline of 3-10 to 2-06.   On Sunday evening Roscrea travelled to Newport and played two highly entertaining matches. Our Group D team won the first game on a scoreline of 3-02 to 2-03. The Group B team lost out on a scoreline of 3-04 to 1-06. The Under 12 Group C team are due to play two matches this week. Their first game is at home v Kilruane Mc Donagh’s this Wednesday evening and they travel to Ballina on Friday evening for their second game of the week.

Under 9’s & 10’s: Had a busy weekend with two hurling blitzes. The first trip was to Ahane on Friday evening where we played teams from Ahane & Hospital. On Saturday morning it was off to Ballina for their second blitz of the weekend. A big thank you to both clubs for the invites & to the parents for taking the time to take the children to the blitzes.

Tipperary: The best of luck to Sean O’Brien & the Tipp hurlers in the Munster Final v Limerick in the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday.

Cúl Camp: will take place in Newport this year from August 12th to 16th inclusive. Online Registration is now open on www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie.
