Seniors:  The best of luck to our senior hurlers who are away to Golden-Kilfeacle this Friday evening in their final county league hurling game @ 8:00 PM.

Juniors: Our Junior hurlers play Toomevara on this Tuesday evening in the second round of the North Junior B Hurling Championship.  Please check our Facebook page for the result.

Under 14’s: Our Under 14 Group C hurlers play their first game of the North Hurling Championship v Borris-lleigh this Saturday in Borris-lleigh @ 2:30PM.  Our Under 14 Group B have a bye this week.

Under 12’s: Our Under 12 Group B & C teams were in action last week in round 2 of their respective North Hurling Championships with both recording victories. Our Group B team got their first win in the competition in their game v Moneygall on a scoreline of 3-07 to 1-04. The under 12 Group D team made it two wins from two games with a victory away to Toomevara on a scoreline of 3-03 to 1-04. The Under 12 Group C teams next match is at home to Nenagh this Friday evening @ 7:00 PM.

Under 10’s: Had two teams in Toomevara last Friday evening for a blitz and enjoyed their evening's hurling.

Under 9’s: hosted a hurling blitz v Monaleen in Lacken Park prior to the Munster Hurling Championship match. The children really enjoyed their morning's hurling before heading off by Bus to Semple Stadium.

Under 7 & 8s: had a hurling blitz in Lacken Park on Saturday morning with over 150 children taking part from Ballinahinch, Burgess, Kilruane MacDonaghs, Monaleen, Murroe Boher & Sean Treacy’. A big thank you to all the parents who helped with the matches & catering and to the visiting teams who contributed to a great morning's hurling.

Under 6s: hurlers and camogie players played in the Newport colours for the first-time last Saturday morning when they took part in an U6 blitz in Ballina. We had 3 teams entered who played 3 games each versus teams from Ballina and Silvermines. They all hurled extremely well and the great work being done by the coaches and the practising at home really showed in their performances. Thanks to all the parents and family members that turned up to support the team and thanks to Ballina Club for their hospitality and for organizing a super blitz.

Tipperary: Well done to Sean O’Brien & the Tipp hurlers on their victory over Limerick in their final  group game in Munster Senior Hurling Championship on Sunday.

Cúl Camp: will take place in Newport this year from August 12th to 16th inclusive. Online Registration is now open on www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie.
