New Year's Charity Football Match: We had a great turnout for our annual New Year’s charity football game in Lacken Park last Sunday. Our Masters took on the best of the rest in a closely fought contest and eventually came out on top to secure the bragging rights for the next 12 months. 46 players took part in the game and a large crowd gathered to support the teams. Thanks to Jim Lees who refereed the game and provided the post match music and entertainment. Thanks also to Richard Ryan and the staff of Ryan’s Bar Cork Road who provided food and entertainment for players and supporters after the match. A collection was made on behalf of Newport Day Care centre and we would like to thank everyone who generously contributed to the collection.

We would like to wish all our members and their families a Happy New Year.
