U-10: Our Community Games team played Boherlahan last Sunday and emerged victorious after a great team performance. Final Score Newport 8.08 to Boherlahan 6.02. Thank you to all the parents who travelled to the game and well done to the lads.

U-14: Our hurlers travelled to Ballina last Saturday to meet Kilruane Mc Donagh’s in the North Féile final. The opposition got off to a good start scoring a goal from the side-line. Both Brian Tobin and Lee Ryan raised the green flag for Tulach Sheasta, before Kilruane ‘s Oisin Williams scored two goals. The sides drew level with a goal from Tom Allen. An injury to Diarmuid O Riordan forced him to leave the field and his absence was a big loss to Newport’ s engine room.
Kilruane added a goal and a point to lead by 4 points at half time.
Newport piled on the pressure in the second half but could not breach the Kilruane defence.
Kilruane added 3 goals in the second half to win on a score line 7.01 to 3.0

Peil na nÓg : We played Moneygall/Clonakenny last Sunday in Templederry in the North Final. Tulach Sheasta started brightly and had 2 quick points on the board through Lee Ryan and Gavin Mellerick. Moneygall responded with 2 quick goals and led at half time on a score line 2 goals to 2 points.
In the second half Newport attacked from the start and an early point from Gavin Mellerick reduced the
lead to a goal. Lee Ryan scored the equalising goal after good work by Dan Ryan and Sean Nolan in the build-up. Gavin Mellerick scored a goal after a great pass from Tom Allen. Brian Tobin (2)and Stephen McCormack kicked points and Gavin closed out the scoring with his second goal.
A very good team display sees us advance to the county semi-final.

Scór na bPástí: No luck for our young members who took part in the County Final of Scór na bPaisti in Cashel last Sunday. Our Ballad Group (Eimear Raddie, Aoife Mellerick, Kate Finucane and Ava O'Malley), Sean Nos Dancing (Darragh Kennedy) and Quiz (Darragh Kennedy, Brian, James and Charlie Tobin) all performed brilliantly on the day but unfortunately on this occasion they missed out on the ultimate glory. Thanks to all our competitors, mentors, parents and organisers for the hard work they put in to promoting Scór in the Club.

Easter Camp: Our camp will take place on April 3rd, 4th and 5th of April from 10 am to 1pm. Registration will take place on the first morning in Lacken Park. Fee €30 with a free sliotar and football for each player.

Greetings: Happy Easter to all our players and supporters.
