Under 9: Our hurlers took part in the County Hurling blitz at Dr. Morris Park last

Saturday. They played very well and enjoyed games against Ballinahinch, Borrisoleigh and Toomevara. We wish to thank Padraig Malone and Andy Ryan for organising the blitz and to all the parents who travelled to Thurles for the games.

Under 10: Our players participated in the Pa O’Brien tournament at Mungret last Saturday morning. Victories over Killmallock, Clarecastle and Mungret saw us qualify for the final against Newtownshandrum. The Cork team were 2-2 up after five minutes but we fought back to win a thrilling final by five points. Well done to all the team on a super performance and also well done to Fionn Deegan for winning the most improved performance award. It was well deserved, Fionn. Thanks to Mungret GAA for inviting us and giving us a great day out

Under 16: Hard luck to the U-16 hurlers last Monday night, who after coming from 7 points down to force extra time, lost out to Borrisoleigh 2-14 to 1-14 in the North quarter-final in a fantastic game of hurling. They showed great heart and determination which bodes well for the future for an ever-improving team. Well done to Borrisoleigh and best of luck to them in the semi-final.

Ballinahinch v Sean Treacys: Thank you to all who helped in any way at Lacken Park for the County Championship game last Sunday evening. Míle Buíochas.
